Our Heritage

Cold Press Media was established in 2006 as a commercial publishing business with a strong focus on the business-to-business market. Jennifer Potter, the founder of Cold Press Media, identified a gap in the market at the time and realised there was a need to create a high-end business directory that would address the needs of the business sector when it comes to sourcing and finding reliable products and services relevant to their business and industry.

Partnering with the Financial Mail, one of South Africa’s leading business publications, CPM developed the first of a series of successful directories, namely the FM Essentials Business and Lifestyle guides. Now in their sixth year, FM Essentials guides have become a brand extension and value-added benefit of the most respected financial authority in South Africa, the Financial Mail.
